Old garden bench

Another week another thing to fix at the pub. This old bench had seen better days and could use a little TLC.

I stripped all the old wood off the bench then cut some new slats for it.

For the new back I glued and clamped together a new frame then gave it a sand down.

I gave all the wood a few coats of exterior paint.

I drilled holes in the slats for the new stainless steel bolts.

Then it was time to attach the new slats to the cast iron frame.

All back together and with any luck ready to give a few years more service.
